Drawing inspiration from the prehispanic ball game, the Ulama Table is a sculptural masterpiece that pays tribute to Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. The circular structure of the table, formed from ten identical modules, is carved manually from a single monolithic piece of lava stone. The delicacy of the glass top juxtaposes beautifully with the rough and raw texture of the stone base, resulting in a harmonious balance of opposing forces. The Ulama Table is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans who bring this exceptional piece to life. It showcases Estudio Cerisola’s dynamic understanding of geometry and its commitment to pushing the boundaries of modular design.
